Heineken Regatta launches Crew Forum

POSTED: 02/24/15 9:46 PM

St. Maarten – The Regatta organization has announced the launch of the new and improved Crew Forum that brings together skippers, crew, individual sailors and boats and ensures that everyone has a chance at joining this year’s 35th anniversary of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. Skippers who are looking for crew or sailors who want to offer their skills are encouraged to sign up to the forum

The Crew Forum is a place where every boat can find crew. Many entrants are still looking for competent crewmembers to fill the final positions on board. Of course, there are many experienced sailors who are eager to race the Regatta, but they are still looking for a ride. The Crew Forum is the best place to bring those people together so that every boat has their team finalized before the  Regatta starts on March 5 with its pre-event Gill Commodore’s Cup.

The Crew Forum is on the website www.heinekenregatta.com. Click on the Crew Forum button on top of the screen. Visitors to the site don’t have to be registered to scroll through the topics in the general discussion. However, to get access to all forum features, like posting requests or replying to an existing post, they will have to register. As soon as a request is verified, visitors will receive an email with the log in details and can then get in touch with the people that are offering what they need.

With less than two weeks to go to the 35th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, boats start to arrive to the island and the final preparations will be made. The registration days are March 3 and 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
