Governor completes first round of consultations

St. Maarten –  Yesterday Governor drs. Eugène Holiday, started consultations to arrive at the formation of a new cabinet.

In the morning the Governor spoke with the Vice-Chair of the Council of Advice, Mavis Brooks-Salmon, the President of Parliament, Gracita Arrindell and the leader of the National Alliance,  William Marlin.

In the afternoon, the Governor continued the consultations speaking with Members of Parliament of the United People’s Party, Sylvia Olivacce-Meyers, DP-faction leader Roy Marlin, UP-leader Theo Heyliger, and the independent MPs Frans Richardson, Patrick Illidge and Romaine Laville.

Consultations will continue today.
