St. Maarten – The price of gasoline will fall by one center per liter as of today, but the price for diesel will go up by eight cents. The price adjustments were announced on Thursday by the St. Maarten Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication Franklyn Meyers and took effect at midnight.
According to a notice from the Minister gasoline is now 2.10 guilders (US $1.16) per liter and diesel will be 1.89 guilders (US $1.05). The prices now are higher by 17 cents and 19 cents respectively than where they were set just under a year ago on January 30.
The prices have been adjusted based on the continued increases in prices internationally.
