Fyah Under Yuh Foot carded for April 17thPOSTED: 03/19/15 6:45 PM
St. Maarten – Xtratight Entertainment & the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) have collaborated once again to bring back a show that many last year described as the best local concert ever seen in St. Maarten Carnival Village: Fyah Under Yuh Foot XL. “The show is based on bringing back the good old days where the local bands use to dominate carnival village,” the organizers explained in a news release yesterday.
“This year the show promises to be nothing less featuring: Hart Atak, Rollin Tones, Impakt Band and No Limit Band. Back by popular demand from last year’s show is Hart Atak Band who contributed enormously in changing the music game within Carnival, with hits such as Look Pon Riddim, Push and Ride That Pony, the people undoubtedly did not get enough of Hart Atak last year. To ensure that the fyah keeps burning the show will also feature the original fyah starters CD Rankin and Rude along with the Big & Serious DJ’s; Dj Biggers & Fabulous.”
Fyah Under Yuh Foot is a well-known event held by Xtratigh Entertainment approximately two times a year catering to a mature crowd. The key to success of these high scale parties is the music, which keeps patrons on the dance-floor from start to finish. “Dancing is a must at Fyah Under Yuh Foot, not an option. This XL edition will only be bigger and better with more fyah from our top local bands. Fyah Under Yah Foot XL on Friday April 17th will be the perfect show to open carnival 2015 with a 100% local line-up.”
Promoter Mr. Rude Fleming said, “I am happy to collaborate with the SCDF once again in bringing the Fyah back into Carnival Village. Having these local bands together under one roof for a super show such as this, is definitely putting the C back into culture.” SCDF is also excited about the joint project. “The foundation is once again looking forward to collaboration with Mr. Rude to showcase our local bands. It was a major hit in 2014 and we have some of our best in the lineup for 2015. It will be quite a night.”
Fyah Under Yuh Foot XL will take place on Friday April 17th at the Festival Village. Doors open at 8pm and show starts at 8:30pm. General admission is $10. Tickets sold only at the gate. “This will be a big Jump Up in the Carnival Village, Jus Say Ai!” Fleming said.
