MARIGOT – The French Saint-Martin Tourism Office hosts a Haitian art exhibit on its premises beginning January 12. The exhibit, which opens with a private viewing between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., will continue until mid-February and is in commemoration of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2009.
The exhibition is being put together by the GINGERBREAD art gallery and the French Side Haitian Associations Federation. The exhibition will feature a vast variety of paintings and photos by Claude Cavallera taken in Port-au-Prince right after the earthquake.
“Come and share the emotional strength of this anniversary date through exceptional paintings,” a release stated.
