Fatum rebrands as Guardian Group

St. Maarten – Fatum has been rebranded along with its sister companies as the Guardian Group. Although a familiar brand to the people of these islands disappears, clients of Guardian Group will hardly notice the changes, apart from a few externals, Dr. Steven Martina, CEO of Guardian Group and managing director Diego Fränkel for Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten both assured. Everything St. Maarten, Saba, and St. Eustatius have grown used to regarding Fatum will stay the same. The organization and its morals and values, service, products, and all other customer-related matters will not change, management explained.

Yesterday the company held a cocktail reception at its St. Maarten branch on A C Brouwers Road to launch the new look.

According to a company statement, “A pivotal part of our strategic initiative has been the re-design of our corporate identity, which now reflects our new brand and the repositioning of our member companies in their respective markets as a single brand. Our new local, regional, and international brand name is Guardian Group.”

Although Fatum has been a well known name in the Dutch Caribbean for over 107 years, management felt the new name, Guardian Group, would give it a greater profile internationally, hopefully offering new possibilities to the insurance company both within and outside the Dutch Kingdom. The name Guardian Group is already an established brand in the Caribbean market and fits the new vision for the company’s future, the management said.

The company is focused on international growth. They said that within three years their Dutch office has grown to a company with 50 employees and a solid position in the Dutch market. The Guardian Group feels that with its strong Caribbean presence and well-known name in business circles, it will be of added value to the business position of St. Maarten.
