Escaped prisoners still on the run

St. Maarten – The three prisoners who managed to escape from the prison section of the Philipsburg Police Station on Monday, haven’t been found yet, Prosecutor Dounia Benammar said yesterday.

Benammar said that the authorities on the French side and all border controls have been informed about the three fugitives. The Landreserche is doing an investigation at the prison section of the police department on how the men could escape and the Korps Politie St. Maarten (KPSM) is investigating the case to find the missing inmates.

The prisoners managed to escape through an opening in the roof in the open-air recreational area.

Sobiesky Manuel Parrondo, born in the Dominican Republic on November 4, 1987 and residing at Rue de Sandy Ground # 8. Parrondo is suspected of murder.

Carlos Miquel Olivier-Ruiz, born in the Dominican Republic on February 1, 1984, and is wanted for drug trafficking.

Marco David Santana-Guerero, born on the Dominican Republic on April 25 1984, is also wanted for drug trafficking.
