St. Maarten – Utilities company Gebe announced yesterday a decrease in electricity prices for residential and commercial consumers. The rate for residential consumptions goes down by 5 guilder cents per kwh, and that for commercial consumers becomes one cent cheaper.

The general relief program is scheduled to last six months – until April 2015 – and begins for the consumption period from September to October with the due date for payment in November.
