Discussion on stamp ordinance amendment resumes today

GREAT BAY – The Central Committee of Parliament continues its discussions on changes to the Stamp Ordinance 1994 where it relates to the fees for new identification card and driver’s license. The meeting will be in the General Assembly Chamber and begins at 2:00 p.m.

Members of Parliament will also begin discussions on an initiative draft ordinance which requires changes to the Civil Code Book Seven A, regarding the elimination of misuse of labour contracts. The initiative law was put forward by the National Alliance. Independent Member of Parliament Frans Richardson maintained his support for the law even after formally splitting with the party.

The meeting will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 20, via Pearl Radio FM 98.1. and on www.pearlfmradio.com.
