Deadline study financing application is January 15

St. Maarten (DCOMM)—The Study Financing Division of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports will extend the submission period of the study financing application forms for this school year until January 15. After the deadline no new applications will be accepted.

Irene E. Gaari-Arrindell, acting division head of Study Financing, said that those who have already submitted their forms are reminded to submit the remainder of documents also by January 15.

Application forms must be submitted during working hours from 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. at the division Study Financing, N. de Brot street nr. 3, Vlaun’s Building, 2nd floor, (opposite the Post Office) in Philipsburg.

The following documents must be submitted along with your application form: Two (2) recent passport pictures; an original birth certificate. (If the applicant was born outside of the Netherlands Antilles, the original birth certificate must have the apostille stamp); proof of Dutch Nationality (a document from the Census Office); a copy of the passport page with relevant information; proof of registration at the Census Office; a valid health certificate; a copy of filed tax forms supporting parental income from the previous year; a recent grades/report card; and proof of admittance to an educational institution (this document is required before any funds will be disbursed).
