Deadline set for Carnival vendors licenses – April 8POSTED: 03/4/16 1:18 PM
St. Maarten News: (DCOMM) – Citizens interested in vending food, beverages, helium balloons and other typical items associated with Carnival, can now apply for these licenses at the department of economic licenses located at Zoutsteeg 3 in Philipsburg.
The deadline for these applications is Friday April 8.
Because of safety concerns, the no-vending zones of past years will be strictly applied this carnival season. Lots will be given out on a first come, first served basis.
The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation has supplied the department with a list of all Festival Village booth holders.
Only vendors mentioned on that list can apply for a license to operate a booth on that location.
Applicants must submit an application form, a copy of passport or ID, a receipt for 100 guilders from the Receiver’s Office, a copy of the crib declaration (this must be presented at the Receiver’s Office as well), a registration form from the census office, a passport picture, and a food handler’s certificate. For helpers applicants must also present ID, registration from the census office, a passport picture and a food handler’s certificate.
