St. Maarten – The Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle presented Patrice Davis with a vocational service award 2011-2012 Tuesday in recognition of her outstanding and devoted service in our community. Davis has been one of the mentors at the Interact Club of St. Dominic High School for the past ten years. In that role she oversees the club’s meetings, planning and activities.
“This is a club of fantastic students who put service above self. Guiding these youngsters towards their successful club goals is something I do with a passion, never asking for something in return,” Davis said after accepting the award from the club’s President Ramesh Manek at the Rotary Club’s Valentine’s Day dinner at Le Charolais Restaurant.
Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. The St Dominic High Interact Club will be helping out with the school’s Annual Bingo this coming Saturday.
