Chambers of Commerce agree on joint organization

ORANJESTAD/GREAT BAY – Aruba, Curacao, St. Eustatius & Saba and St. Maarten have formed the Association of Dutch Caribbean Chambers of Commerce & Industry. The agreement on the joint organization was made at a meeting in Aruba on September 30.
The Dutch Caribbean Chamber will cooperate where it comes to advising their governments on cooperation in economic and socio-economic areas and on matters of common interest of the business sector on all five islands.
Emphasis will also be placed on the developments in globalization, with specific focus on international trade relations and the possible establishment of forms international cooperation and membership of international organizations.
The Chambers also plan to work together on the effective use of resources and capacity.
