Cft advises on budget amendment early next week

St. Maarten – The Board of financial supervision (Cft) has committed to delivering its advice on an amendment to the 2012 budget by July 2 at the latest. The projection is based on the government’s recent submission.
The amendment was requested by the Cft because projected revenues from taxes on rental income from non-resident real estate owners will not be realized and because the government did not include the payment of the remaining part of the cost of living allowance. The latter measure will cost government 17 million guilders.
