Cadogan installed as Charter President of the Johnson and Wales University (JWU) Alumni Chapter-St. Maarten

St. Maarten – Karen Cadogan was installed as the charter president of the Johnson and Wales University (JWU) Alumni Chapter-St. Maarten on July 16 in a reception at Prive Sky Lounge. The other Board members are the Vice President Carmen Reyes-Lake, the Secretary Diana Esdaille, the Treasurer Alphons Gumbs, the Chair of Programs & Events Committee Conrad Richardson, the Chair of Communications Committee Klaudia Vingtama and the Chair of Admissions & Nominating Committee Michel Chance.
“I am honoured to be the president of the Johnson and Wales University (JWU) Alumni Chapter-St. Maarten, which will aid in the continuous development of our students and the rest of the community. The chapter will ensure that JWU students will pursue excellence and carry on true leadership in our country,” Cadogan said in a statement issued on Sunday.
Karen McGibbon, the university’s Manager of Alumni Relations in the Southern Region and Dr. Michelle Garcia, who is the JWU-College Chair were among the guests at the ceremony that was held for alumni, students currently enrolled, students who will begin their studies in the next trimester and invited guests. Deputy Prime Minister Theodore Heyliger’s sister Eva was also on hand to accept his Success Board. The award is recognition of Heyliger’s career successes and is also meant to inspire prospective and current students and alumni to excel.
