POSTED: 02/16/12 1:14 PM

GREAT BAY – St. Maarten Cable TV announced Wednesday that it began exchanging the analog boxes that subscribers in Philipsburg, Fort William, Guana Bay and Hope Estate have for digital ones on Tuesday. Customers are reminded that they must also bring their remote(s), coupon book and a valid ID. Those subscribers that have a shield on the cable box or are unable to remove their cable box, should call the customer service department at 542-4361 for further instructions.
Beyond the improved quality of service that the digital signal provides, customers with digital converters are receiving new channels in their current packages. For example, on February 1, 2012, three new channels were launched in the Solid Gold Package: The Africa Channel (282), Sony Entertainment TV (286) and Smile of a Child (313).
Customers are also encouraged to visit St. Maarten Cable TV’s new website for additional information about its new channels, digital cable TV, the interactive digital guide and the installation process at www.innovativevi.net/sxmcable.
