Budgeting workshops kick off 21st

St. Maarten – A free weekly training program—“Taking control through budgeting”—which consists of eight interactive sessions, will kick off next Friday at the various help desks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 to 9pm.

The weekly training sessions are free and will be presented by dynamic and engaging presenters and will include, “An introduction to budgeting”; “Nutrition on a budget”; “Insurance and savings”  “Knowing your Self-worth”; and 2 live demonstration on “Healthy cooking on a low budget”.

“The main objective of the taking total control through budgeting program is to empower participants to effectively manage personal finances, recognize and evaluate spending habits and implement corrective actions where necessary.  Course materials and workbooks will be provided. At the end of the program, participants will be able to apply knowledge, tools and strategies to achieve financial goals and take charge of their health and well-being. Participants who successfully attend and complete the modules will receive a certificate of completion.
