Brooks-Solomon feature speaker at 10th memorial lecture

St. Maarten – The Vice President of the Council of Advice Mavis Brooks-Solomon will speak on the role of the Advisory Council in the attainment of greater self reliance for St. Maarten at this year’s Lionel Bernard Scott Memorial lecture. This 10th memorial lecture will be given at the (Philipsburg Mutual Improvement Association) PMIA Hall at 8:00 p.m. A small reception will follow the lecture.
The aim of the annual lecture series is to enhance and promote awareness and discussion on current social-economic and political issues of interest to the development of the community. Governor drs Eugene Holiday, Richard Gibson Sr, former Lieutenant governor Dennis Richardson, the late Vance James Jr., Camille Baly, Jan Beaujon, Dr Petit/Dr Bryson and Dr. Holiday and drs Jorien Wuite are some of the past speakers.
