Boasman congratulates Telem on 3G+ launchPOSTED: 10/28/11 11:22 AM
St. Maarten – Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Telem Group of Companies Rafael Boasman has expressed the board’s pride with the company’s rollout of its 3G+ network. The official launch was done on October 21 at Holland House.
The investment in the 3G network and the rollout of Blackberry service is Telem’s largest and “most serious” investment in recent time. Investments at the company take time because they have to spend time recouping the money from one investment before they can make another.
“We did the make the conscious decision to seriously invest at this time though. It is our way being responsible and remembering that we can’t overextend ourselves. We also have to realize that unlike bigger countries, where there are millions of subscribers, Telem has 30, 000 and lots of competition,” Boasman said.
While the supervisory board is proud of the entire management and staff for the rollout of 3G, he especially proud of the staff in the technical department and the Chief Technical Officer Eldert Louisa for building and ensuring the company has a “good working system.”
“I also want to stress to especially the business company that they should support our product,” Boasman said.
