St. Maarten – Research In Motion sent out a formal notification yesterday afternoon stating that all technical issues related to the Blackberry outage in the Caribbean had been resolved. “Services are now one hundred percent restored and a Blackberry support team will continue to monitor the system to ensure ongoing stability,” local telecom provider UTS stated in a press release.
Canada-based Research In Motion has issued several apologies to its many customers world-wide for the failure of its service. “The outage, which has spanned a total of three days in various parts of the world, has not allowed RIM to offer customers the level of service that they are used to. The company has promised to take all necessary measures to prevent a repeat in the future.”
UTS advises customers whose service has not fully returned to normal to restart their device by removing and reinserting the battery. If problems continue, they are invited to call the UTS Contact Center at 542 01 01 for further assistance.
