St. Maarten – The Belair Community Council and the Belair Home Owners Association welcomed community police officer Henson into their  district.

Last week, officer Henson organized a meet and greet session for the community leaders and as a follow up, the Council and Home Owners Association took Henson on a tour of Belair so that he will be better acquainted with residents and the area’s layout.

The Belair Community Council applauds the Ministry of Justice and those responsible for instituting the community police officers for all districts on the island, the council stated in a press release. “This is a great step in tackling crime and other illegalities in the districts.

The Belair Community Council would also like to encourage other districts to welcome their community police officer and to work closely together. Joint partnerships can only serve to strengthen communication between police and residents.”
