St. Maarten – Three masked men robbed the Texaco gas station on Welfare Road on Friday morning around 6.50 a.m. They made off with an undisclosed amount of money and with the shoulder bag of a female client that contained personal items and also some cash.

According to the police report, the men arrived in a gray car without license plates. While the driver remained in the car, two others entered the station’s store; one of them pushed a client aside and jumped over the counter. He threatened the cashier with a gun, told her to cooperate and hit her with the gun on her head.

The robbers jumped back in their car and drove off. The detective department is investigating the robbery.
