MARIGOT, St. Martin – The Collectivité announced Monday that the responsibility for handing requests for funding assistance for students travelling out of the region to study has been transferred to the Human Development Sector in the Directorate of Employment, Learning and Vocational Training. The agency’s office is located in the Evelina Halley School in the annex of the Collectivite on Rue de Hollande. People can call them 0590 29 57 17. People can also get more information or submit requests online at
The granting of assistance is part of an agreement between the Collectivité and the French Department for Economic Development for Overseas Territories. The agreement covers both academic studies and vocational training. The funding under the mobility program allows students to obtain a round trip plane ticket for each academic year when their chosen field is saturated or not available in their country of residence. The mobility fund for training grants a full benefit for vocational trainees.
