St. Maarten – The Princess Juliana International Airport has published the Expressions of Interest documents for the new concession plan.

As noted last year, Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company (PJIAE) and the InterVistas Consulting Group have developed a concession plan to increase passenger satisfaction, concessionaire sales and airport income. This includes an overhaul of the existing program and features a walk-through duty-free store and a central food court. The airport currently has 22 retail and seven food and beverage concessions.

The new concession program is publicly tendered in a two-phase process. An Expression of Interest (EOI) phase will run until January 24. A Request for Proposal (RFP) phase with short-listed candidates will follow from February 5 to March 25.

There are 24 concession packages, one for each individual concession, ranging from a 1,000 square meter large walk-through duty-free store to landside food and beverage concessions. Parties may express their interest in multiple packages.

The EOI documents are available for download from the airport’s website at www.pjiae.com.
