St. Maarten—Thirty student volunteers of the ACE Foundation visited the seniors at the St. Maarten Home on Friday as part of preparing the students to be civic minded.

Principal of the school Claire Elshot explained that the kids made a presentation to the seniors that included singing and a prayer for peace in the world. Some of the students also got the opportunity to showcase their talents in giving massages and polishing nails–skills that they have learnt at the foundation—by treating some of the seniors to these.

According to the ACE Foundation principal, the students and the seniors enjoyed good rapport and despite the age difference between the two groups, common ground was established. Elshot said she was pleased with the opportunity to have the students make their presentation at the SXM home.
