Cost of living adjustment payments to subsidized schools completed

St. Maarten – Subsidized school boards have received the new salary scales as reported last week, Minister of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sport Silveria Jacobs announced yesterday.  “They are still awaiting the calculation from some of them; however there should be enough within the subsidies received so far to cover that. The ministry is finalizing the payments due to the subsidized schools based on getting them their 100% subsidy which includes the cost of living adjustment payment by this week. So any schools that were not able to do with what they had based on what they had available, should be able to do so by next week when their payments will be finalized.”
