St. Maarten – The Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company made a donation for an undisclosed amount yesterday toward the restoration of the cook house at the Emilio Wilson Park.
Airport managing Director Regina Labega presented the check to Julius Lambert, president of the Emilio Wilson Historical and Cultural Foundation. The foundation had requested a contribution as part of its fundraising for the historical restoration project.
“The airport supports efforts such as this one to restore and preserve our historical and cultural heritage,” said Labega during the check presentation at the airport. “We are looking forward to the timely completion of this project, which will benefit the whole of St. Maarten.”
Lambert thanked the airport for its generous donation and encouraged others to “emulate the concrete support and interest that the airport shows in the preservation of our patrimony.”
