Reader’s Letter: An apology is needed
POSTED: 07/9/12 12:07 PMDear Editor,
It was disrespectful of the French national Shujah Reiph to try to belittle our Minister of Education, Sports and Culture Silveria Jacobs during a live program on the French radio station S.O.S. FM 95.9. Shujah Reiph should apologize to the minister posthaste.
It appears to me that Shujah Reiph is extremely angry that Silveria Jacobs replaced Rhoda Arrindell as minister. But that replacement should be of no concern to Shujah REIPH. Shujah Reiph should put all his energy to use on the French side of the island so that the local government of that side of the island can obtain much more say in the running of the affairs of the island. I hope that Shujah Reiph is not afraid of the powers that be in the French governmental structure.
I am also very disappointed in the host of the program Billy Dee and the rest of the guests on the program Jose Lake Jr., Julian Rollocks, Elton Jones and Rhoda Arrindell for not admonishing Sujah Reiph for his outburst against the minister. What Sujah Reiph did was distasteful and uncalled for. Knowing the self-discipline of Mr. Lake I can imagine that he felt uncomfortable.
