St. Maarten – A man was stabbed to death on Saturday afternoon behind the Baptist Church in Sucker Garden. Police spokesman Ricardo Henson and Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos both acknowledged the incident, but were unable to confirm the victim’s name that circulates on internet blogs. The man was stabbed several times and died later at the hospital. His attacker gave himself up to the police shortly afterwards.
Attorney Mr. G. Hatzmann has taken on the case. He confirmed the initials of his client as being A.O.M., and put his age at 30. The suspect does not know his victim’s real name, Hatzmann said: “He just knows him by his nickname of Washy.”
