Governor meets Management Council Common Court of JusticePOSTED: 05/18/12 1:29 PM
St. Maarten – Last Tuesday Governor Drs. Eugene Holiday met with the Management Council of the Common Court of Justice. The members presented the Joint Court of Justice’s annual report and annual account covering the period from October 10, 2010 until the end of 2011.
The Management Council consists of four members, each appointed by royal decree, based on a recommendation by the Ministers of Justice of Aruba, Curacao, Sint Maarten and the Netherlands. The council holds regular consultations with the four justice ministers about the court’s budget. The Management Council prepares the court’s budget and supervises the court’s operations. It is an intermediary between the judicial organization and the governments of the four countries.
The council members are Grace M.C. Maduro for Aruba (chair), A.M. Rodrigues for Curacao, K.L. Bloyden for Sint Maarten and M.H. van Kuijk for the Netherlands.
