Bavpol officer arrested
POSTED: 04/25/12 3:32 PMSt. Maarten – Bavpol junior officer E.V. was detained on Monday evening around six o’clock as a suspect in an ongoing criminal investigation. The unspecified crime was committed in 2009, before he enrolled in the police force.
Detectives used a new investigative method called case screening to link the officer to the crime. Together with officers from internal affairs detectives identified the officer as a suspect. He has been suspended pending the results of the investigation.
