St. Maarten – The Civil Registry Department announced Tuesday that they will be open on Saturdays and have extended office hours on Thursdays to accommodate people who need to pick up passports, Identification Cards (ID), apostils, family trees and declarations. These extended hours will be for December only.
The extended hours begin today and will continue till the end of the month. The closing time on Thursdays will be 7:00 p.m. and the opening times on December 10 and December 17 will be 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m.
People who work for the government should also take note that Wednesday, December 28 will be the last day that the office will extend services exclusively for civil servants.
