Piet Donner’s instruction letter withdrawnPOSTED: 10/9/11 10:26 PM
WILLEMSTAD – The Kingdom Council of Ministers has decided it will not send a letter drafted by Minister Piet Hein Donner that would have Governor Frits Goedgedrag intervene in the administration of Curacao. The goal of the intervention would be to ensure that the recommendations in the report presented by Paul Rosenmöller are implemented.
The letter would have been sent if Curacao’s Minister Plenipotentiary had not been able to convince the Kingdom Council of Ministers that both the Government and Parliament of Curacao were taken action on the recommendations. He’s been able to point that the Parliament of Curacao is busy discussing their concrete position. This is a reply to pressure from the Second Chamber on Minister of Kingdom Relations Piet Hein Donner to ensure that the recommendations in the report are implemented.
Osepa has also announced that the government in Curacao will investigate how his secret report on the October 4 meeting of the Kingdom Council of Ministers leaked to the media.
