Roadside memorial: stark reminder

MARIGOT – Two major motorbike accidents claimed the lives of four people in the past ten days. Just outside Marigot, on the road towards Grand Case friends and family of the deceased bikers have erected a roadside monument that serves as a stark reminder to others about the tragic event.
The frontal collision between two bikes on Saturday a week ago claimed the lives of 19-year-old Ginette Souklaye and her 23-year-old boyfriend Joel Richardson. The third victim was 32-year old Mirangelo Denicio Blijden. Last Thursday, Jean Claude Benjamin, a 39-year-old and therefore more experienced biker, died in an accident in Philipsburg,
