Heyliger, Shigemoto update students on development on St. Maarten

St. Maarten – Minister of Finance Hiro Shigemoto and Vice Prime Minister Theodore Heyliger over the weekend met with Sint Maarten students in an information session organized by St. Maarten Students Support Services (S4).

Both ministers provided information on current developments including details of the St. Maarten’s transition to becoming a country on October 10, 2010.

The ministers also discussed public finances, the government’s incentives policy for attracting students to return to St. Maarten to work, crime, immigration, employment possibilities for students who return to the island upon completion of their studies.
